It was only a matter of time that I realized that I probably wasn't going to earn $100,000 a year as a real estate rental agent in Boston. In fact, I probably wasn't going to break $40,000. Worse, I was putting in a 50-60 hour week for 6 months!
Don't be a sucker - you should be paid a guaranteed amount of money per hour for your work. It's what you deserve.
