If you are looking to land a Subway job, there is one little-used method of hooking up with this large sub shop chain that you won't find in traditional job-finding method books because it's quite simply; thinking completely outside the box!
These days, you have to start thinking of novel ways to get hired because the competition is much harder than it has ever been in recent memory, so you need to figure out ways to stand out in a crowd or your chances of getting hired will diminish.
Gone are the days when you could fill an application online or even in person, and get a call-back from the employer telling you to come in for an interview.

Here's a great way to make that connection, and don't be afraid to use a similar method; just think outside the box:
1. Visit the Subway you are targeting for a job and go through the food line just like any other customer. While you are paying for your food, if the cashier is not the owner or manager, ask the employee about any job openings available. Let the employee know you are hoping to meet the manager. If the manager is not available at this time sit down to eat your food, and take your time.
Sometimes a manager will come over to you after being informed by the employee and sometimes they won't, so if you still haven't made contact after you finish your meal, walk up to the register and kindly and politely ask to see the manager once again.
If the manager is still not available leave your information on a neatly printed piece of paper, or better yet, a business card. Write something friendly and to the point such as, "Hi. I'm really interested in a position with your company. Please call when you get a chance." Leave your name and a working phone number.
Many times, the cashier is actually run by either the owner or manager so your chances of being considered for Subway job using this method is far superior to just submitting an online application. At the very least, you need to make some sort of connection and follow up later if necessary.
